رفّ العلوم كلّه تجارب صغيرة في البيت: نلمس ونشمّ ونسمع، ونخمّن هل يغرق الشيء أم يطفو ثمّ نجرّب، ونراقب بذرة أيّامًا، ونلاحظ الظلّ والقمر. في كثير من الأوراق عمودان: ما خمّنته وما وجدته، ولا نمحو تخمينًا لم يتحقّق، فالفرق بينهما هو الدرس. لا نشرح السبب في هذه السنّ؛ نسأل ماذا رأيت، ونسمع. ابدأ بورقة الحواسّ الخمس، فهي لا تحتاج إلى شيء غير البيت.

The science shelf is small experiments at home: touch, smell and listen, guess whether a thing sinks or floats and then try it, watch a seed for days, notice the shadow and the moon. Many sheets have two columns, what I guessed and what I found, and a wrong guess is never rubbed out, because the gap between the two is the lesson. We do not explain why at this age; we ask what did you see, and listen. Start with the five senses sheet, which needs nothing but the house.
