    Start with no pencil at all. Today is only listening, so nothing can be done wrong and nobody has to sit still for long.

    Watch for: Notice whether they connect the whole spoken word to its picture, and which words need a shared example.

    Back to the ear, but inside a word this time. Hearing the first sound is the step that makes letters mean something later.

    عودة إلى الأذن، لكن داخل الكلمة. سماع الصوت الأول هو الخطوة التي تجعل للحروف معنى لاحقًا.

    Watch for: Say the word clearly. Model its first sound if needed, then offer a turn to listen, point or say it with you.

    Meet ا, the standing letter

    The first letter, and it is one straight line. Look at its shape together and try drawing it if your child is interested.

    نتعرّف على شكل حرف الألف معًا. ويمكن لطفلك تجربة رسمه إن أراد، مع المساعدة عند الحاجة.

    Watch for: Notice the long shape and the small hamza above it in the pictured words. Help them point or trace if they choose.

    Their own name, clapped into parts. Day one taught them to listen to a word; today that word is theirs.

    اسمهم، مقسَّمًا بالتصفيق. في اليوم الأول تعلّموا الإصغاء إلى كلمة، واليوم هذه الكلمة كلمتهم.

    Watch for: Clap the spoken parts together. Notice whether a shared rhythm helps; independent performance is optional.

    You reached the fifth activity. Repeat a favourite, or print the chart to colour together.

Keep a little memory. Share a little joy.

Print the chart so the five days are something the child can see and colour in, and send the plan to one parent who would use it. Both are free and neither asks anybody for an email.
