What this is

Kogia Kids is a library of printable activity sheets for children who are not yet in Grade 1, before nursery, KG1 and KG2. Every sheet is written for a child whose mother tongue is Arabic, and the child-facing text is fully vocalised, because harakat are what make a word readable at the age when a child is still learning which sound a letter makes.

We focus on the years before Grade 1. These activities supplement family play, nursery and kindergarten. Choose a starting point by your child’s interests and adapt the help you give, whatever the level on the page.

Who makes it

Kogia Kids is a product of KogiaGroup. We create Arabic activities and parent guides informed by Swiss educational thinkers and contemporary guidance on play and conversation. Read our approach and sources to see what that means in practice.

Pedagogy lead: Ms. Amani Thabet, primary school teacher (B.Ed.) with more than five years of classroom experience. Publisher and editor: Othman Ounis, founder of KogiaGroup, writing from Manama, Bahrain. The illustrations are the publisher’s own drawings, kept in an archive with the source of every picture recorded.

Kogia Kids has been online since 6 September 2026. Sheets are released in dated batches; the parent guides carry their publication date; and the sitemap carries the real last-change date of every page, taken from the project’s own history rather than from the build clock.

How we write, and what we check before publishing

Every activity starts as a written brief: one learning goal, the age it suits, the five moves the child makes (wonder, listen, explore, try, share), three ways to pitch the same page, and what the illustration must show. The Arabic the child hears is written fully vocalised; the Arabic the adult reads is not. A parent guide, in Arabic, is written for each sheet before the sheet is drawn, not after. Every step is done by a person, nothing is generated or copied, and one dollar is how a family says thank you for that.

Before a sheet is published, an editorial review checks the learning goal against the task and the parent guidance, and a second pass reads the Arabic for grammar, tashkeel and wording a child of three to five actually understands. Automated file checks then cover Arabic fonts, page boundaries, missing artwork, collapsed writing lines and working downloads in both paper sizes. A sheet that fails any of these does not ship, and a reported mistake is corrected in the next release with the date of the change recorded on the page.

The parent guides at /guides are long-form articles. Each one answers a single question parents ask us, says what we know and what we do not, cites only activities that exist on this site, and ends in three of them. They are written by the Kogia Kids editorial team and dated. They are not individual advice about a particular child, and they do not replace a teacher, a paediatrician or a speech therapist.

These checks help us find content and printing problems; they do not prove learning outcomes. We say so on every page that could be read otherwise.

We do not have documented teacher-and-child trials for every activity, and we do not claim Swiss accreditation or official curriculum approval. Feedback from families and educators helps us identify what needs another look.

Why it is free

Because the families who need it most are the least likely to pay for it. The site is designed to be paid for by advertising on the page, never inside the PDF, and never placed between you and a download button. There is no account, no email wall and no premium tier holding back the good sheets. The complete packs are the same free sheets gathered into one file per shelf, for whoever wants everything in one download and is glad to support the site; nothing in them is missing from the shelves. Anyone can also support the site with a small gift, and that is what keeps it open.

Printing without wasting ink

Pages use white backgrounds and leave room for your child’s ideas. Print the activity page and read the parent guide on your phone. Colour-sorting and colour-hunt activities need colour; you can also keep those pictures on screen and use real objects.
