What is on the sheet

Four large pictures in a row with the vowelled word beneath each: بَيْت (house), بَطِّيخ (watermelon), بُومَة (owl), شَمْس (sun). The instruction asks the child to circle every picture that starts with the sound بْ, and a note under it says it is the sound, not the name of the letter.

Skill: Initial-sound identification, the second Arabic phonological skill. You will need: crayon. Your role: read aloud. Prints well in black and white.
