غيّرا ترتيب قطع حقيقية وأعيدا العد، ولا تفترض الفهم أو عدمه من محاولة واحدة.

Watch for

لاحظ المطابقة بين الكلمة والشيء، وما إذا كان يعيد عد عنصر أو يتجاوزه.

If they need help

قلّل العدد، وانقل كل قطعة بعد عدها، وفي المسار ابدأ بالأعداد حتى 3 أو 5.

If they want more

عدّا أشياء يومية من نوع آخر، مع نفس الكمية.

Five rows of shells/fish, counts 3, 5, 4, 5, 2, arranged in a straight line except the last which curves. A big empty box at the end of each row to write the number in, leave it large, 25mm, because a three-year-old's numerals are enormous.
