What is on the sheet

Five rows. In each row the grown-up reads two sound cards (بَيْ then تْ, مَا then ءْ, شَمْ then سْ, دَا then رْ, تِي then نْ) and the child says or points to the word they make among three small pictures with their vowelled words: بَيْت، شَمْس، لَوْز; نَار، مَاء، بَيْت; شَمْس، مَوْز، دَار; تِين، دَار، قِطّ; بُومَة، نَار، تِين. A note says the two parts are read from right to left.

Skill: Blending two spoken word parts into a familiar word. You will need: crayon. Your role: read aloud. Prints well in black and white.
